Banner campaigns

Add a promotional banner to your team’s email signatures, for all templates or only the ones you target, continuously or during a scheduled period.

A campaign adds a promotional banner to deployed employees’ signatures — at the template’s Banner element if it has one, otherwise below the signature — for all templates or only the targeted ones, continuously or during a scheduled period. From the Starter plan up.

Create a campaign

  1. Open Campaigns and create a new campaign. A wide side panel shows the banner preview under its settings.
  2. Choose the mode: Custom, with the built-in editor and five presets — CTA Banner, Dark Banner, Event Banner, Split Banner (50/50), Minimal Banner — or Image, from a URL or the gallery.
  3. Set the colours, corner radius, margins, text (title, button, link), font and width.
  4. Add the destination link: clicks on it are tracked.
  5. Target specific templates, or leave it empty for all.
  6. To limit the run, tick Schedule campaign and pick the Run period (days in the workspace time zone); without dates, the campaign stays Always active.
  7. Click Publish or Schedule. There is no Save button: once it has a name, the campaign saves itself as a draft 30 seconds after the last change. The draft stays Inactive and appears in no signature; changes to a live campaign also go out with Publish.

When the banner appears

On publishing, the banner goes right away into signatures already deployed in automated mode. A scheduled campaign appears and disappears by itself: in Gmail at the daily pass, with the Outlook add-in at the next message. An employee never deployed only gets it once deployed. With manual deployment, the employee has to paste their signature again.

Statuses

Active, Scheduled, Ended and Inactive (a draft, or a campaign switched off with the Active toggle). Without dates, the period shows Always active. Each campaign can be edited, activated, disabled or deleted.

My campaign doesn’t appear

  • Check that it’s published, not a draft.
  • Check the dates and targeted templates, and that no older active campaign targets the same template: a signature shows only one banner, the oldest campaign’s.
  • Check that the employee is deployed: only signatures already deployed get the banner, in Gmail (automated mode) on publishing then daily, with the Outlook add-in at the next message. In manual mode, re-send the signature.

Measure

The Campaigns tab in Analytics gives banner views and clicks, all campaigns combined (these figures are not in Overview or the CSV export). Signature analytics tracking must be turned on.

Best practices

  • One idea per banner, readable at 400 px wide.
  • A real end date: a March promotion still visible in July costs more than it brings in.
