Design a template
Go further
Set a template’s font, sizes, colours and spacing in one place, with recommended values for Outlook, mobile and dark mode.
Global styles (the editor’s Styles tab) define a template’s default behaviour: font, text and link colours, maximum width, and the signature’s margin and padding. Any block can override them, but until you do, it follows them.
Set the font, size and colours here before touching the blocks. Every value you force on a block is a value you’ll have to change by hand the day your brand evolves; whatever stays inherited follows on its own.
Email clients that apply a dark theme sometimes invert your colours, sometimes only the background. Dark grey text on a transparent background survives; black text on a forced white background becomes a white box in the middle of a dark message. The safest setting is still a transparent background and text with enough contrast to hold up either way.
They belong to the template, not to the organization. Two templates each have their own. Changing the brand updates the logo shown by the Logo element and the colours offered in the pickers, but not the font or colours already set in a template: to change the whole organization, adjust each template’s global styles, then republish them.
