What Gensy signature analytics measure — views, clicks, devices — what they don’t keep, how long data is retained and how to export it.
Analytics measure views and clicks on signatures. From the Starter plan up.
Tracking is off by default in a new workspace. The owner or an admin turns it on in Settings → General, on the Signature analytics line: a view pixel and redirect links. After turning it on, redeploy the signatures so they carry the trackers (the Outlook add-in gets them by itself). Turning it off stops measurement immediately, even for emails already sent. If tracking is off, the Analytics page says so.
Total views, total clicks and conversion rate (CTR), over 7, 30 or 90 days, in four tabs:
Every pass through a tracked link counts as a click, known bots excluded; a security tool that opens the links in an email can add some. Views are an estimate: an employee who sees their own signature while composing counts as a view. Repeated opens from the same address for the same employee are grouped for about 30 minutes.
No cookies, and no IP addresses in the statistics: the address is only used in memory, long enough to set aside duplicates and abuse. Tracking is designed with Quebec’s Law 25 in mind.
Export CSV offers the displayed period or a full completed month, up to twelve months back. The file contains totals by employee, totals by day and the ten most-clicked links. A month’s event-level detail is available from support on request.
Tracking covers your employees’ signatures, not their correspondents, but the ranking by employee does exist. Explain what the numbers are for before turning on tracking.
Check that Signature analytics is turned on, then redeploy the signatures to include the trackers.
