Notifications and alerts

The notification bell, activity emails and how often they’re sent, and how to send Gensy alerts to Slack or Microsoft Teams with a webhook.

The bell, at the top right of every dashboard page (next to the Help & support button), brings together what’s happening in the workspace. Notifications are kept for 90 days.

What arrives in the bell

  • Invitations and access requests — pinned at the top until you respond.
  • System alerts — add-in offline, failed schedule, Google connection refused, missing proof of admin rights, email budget reached, return to the Free plan.
  • Workspace activity — signatures deployed, templates published, employees added, profiles submitted through the portal… You’re never notified of your own actions.
  • Support — replies to your requests.

An alert can be snoozed for 24 hours. Full history offers search and filters.

Choose what arrives by email

In My account → Notifications: seven categories, two channels (in-app, email) and the frequency of activity emails — daily digest at 8 a.m., weekly digest on Monday, or never (default). Settings are specific to the workspace, with a checkbox to apply them to all your workspaces.

If you don’t change anything, email is only sent for invitations, access requests and support.

Alerts to Slack or Teams

In Settings → General, Alert webhook line: paste an https address, click Send a test, then Save. Reserved for the owner or an admin. The webhook receives the same system alerts as the bell, except the add-in offline alert and payment alerts, which stay in the bell. The address is never shown in full again; only its last six characters are displayed.

Browser notifications

A device-level option displays a system notification when an alert arrives while Gensy is open.
