One template per department

Assigning a template to a department saves you from choosing a signature person by person. Every employee without a template of their own inherits their department’s. Available from the Starter plan up.

Create the departments

On the Departments page, New department opens a window: the name and, optionally, the signature template. The ··· menu imports several departments at once from a CSV (a “Name” column, or the first column) and exports the list.

The table shows the assigned template, the number of employees and the creation date; its footer counts the employees assigned to a department and those without one.

Which one wins

A template assigned directly to a person takes priority over their department’s. On the Deployment page, a house icon indicates a template inherited from the department.

Assign in bulk

On the Employees page, select several rows to assign them a department or template in one operation.

Move someone

Changing the department or template of a person whose signature is deployed unpublishes it: Gensy asks for confirmation. Then redeploy it.

How many departments

1 on the Starter plan, 2 on the Essential plan, 5 on the Professional plan, 10 on the Business plan, 15 on the Enterprise plan.
